چکیده

Abstract In this paper, we propose a signal processing method in passive radar using the multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) as illuminator of opportunity. The MU-MIMO-OFDM modulation is adopted fifth-generation (5G) communication. We consider scenario where multiple mobile users share same time–frequency resources but separate spatially different beams formed prior by MU-MIMO transmitter antenna array, which quite general case realistic 5G A beam-by-beam matched filter proposed for weak target sensing. Interference suppression also discussed. interference more complicated than that traditional radar. communication system, base station (BS) transmits signals to beam regions simultaneously between BS and users. For specific region receiver located, consists not only direct multipath (DMI) transmitted region, inter-user (IUI) from other regions. DMI IUI degrade detection capability significantly. jointly eliminating IUI. Simulations verify effectiveness these methods.

MIMO-OFDM signal optimization for SAR imaging radar

This paper investigates the optimization of the coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmitted signal in a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) context. We propose to design OFDM signals to achieve range ambiguity mitigation. Indeed, range ambiguities are well known to be a limitation for SAR systems which operates with pulsed transmitted signal. The ambiguous reflected signal co...

Signal Processing for Future MIMO-OFDM Wireless Communication Systems

The combination of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technol ogy and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is likely to provide the air-interface solution for future broadband wireless sys tems. A major challenge for MIMO-OFDM systems is the problem of multi-access interference (MAI) induced by the presence of multiple users transmitting over the same bandwidth. Novel signal p...
